Reilly & Emmerson Living is tucked away in the beautiful village of Stokesley in North Yorkshire.

The shop is owned by Kate Reilly and Charlotte Emmerson and is full of gorgeous things which beg to be caressed – beaded lampshades, soft furnishings, beautiful furniture, scented candles gifts and much more.

But the shop is only half of our business. We are old school friends who specialise in Interior Design. We take on commissions nationwide both for commercial premises and private homes. We also specialise in Contemporary Paint Finishes – and so when not in the shop you can guess we are probably somewhere in the UK doing amazing things with paint effects.

We are both Art College Graduates, and set up in business together in 1997. The interior design business flourished, taking us into homes throughout the region where we can do anything from choosing colours to a full Interior Design service.

We opened the shop in 2001 and it is a mix of traditional and contemporary – bold and bright to delicate and pretty.
The top floor of the premises on Bridge Road, Stokesley is home to our Interior Design Studio where we hold regular one day workshops in everything from furniture painting to handmade stationery and Christmas Workshops.
